Our Recommendations

While we try to do as much ourselves as possible, we often get asked about other items we use and what we would recommend, so I thought I'd compile a list of some of my favourite people and companies.

This is just a list of my personal recommendations based on the real things I use in my daily life. Hopefully it will be of use to you too.

Bird Care

  • Aviaries

    Malcolm at Box Clever built Fable's aviary to my exact specifications. I have used him for various projects and have never been disappointed.

    Built of aluminium and stainless steel, they are incredibly secure and easy to keep clean, do not suffer the typical deterioration of wooden aviaries, and they withstand the harsh weather conditions of the Scottish Highlands.

  • Disinfectant and Cleaning

    I use Safe4 Disinfect and Safe4 Odour Killer. Safe4 is DEFRA approved, cruelty free, bird safe and smells amazing too.

    They also do a 'promo pack' which lasts for ages and allows you to try out the range to find your favourites.

  • Bird Baths

    Fable uses a fibreglass falconry bath in her aviary. I have used this style of bath with many different species for over 15 years.

    They honestly last forever, are easy to clean, and come in a range of sizes for maximum bathing! They have rounded edges so that there is no risk of injury while bathing.

  • Bird Travel Boxes

    For as long as I've worked with birds I have used Falcon Fabrication boxes. They are very well built, and designed to keep travelling birds safely contained, in a calm, darkened environment.

Filming

  • Camera Gear

    I film all my content with a Canon 90D, using Canon and Sigma lenses. I also use a DJI Mini Pro 4 Drone and a GoPro for additonal footage.
